We can do as little or as much as you wish and hence our fees work on a sliding scale. To give you some idea listed below are some of our services although the list is not exhaustive. We are, in reason, happy to help our clients with the smallest to the largest task.
The range of services we offer continues to grow by following client requirements, improving our standards and listening to the customer.
We can recommend local estate agencies to you and accompany you on visits if you wish. We can act as an interpreter and provide advice if required whilst you view properties and liaise with agencies as necessary. We are happy to intervene at any moment of the purchasing process when you might be feeling out of depth and need advice, assistance and/or translation services.
We can also provide full assistance with property purchase by assuming responsibility for representing you and overseeing all the aspects of the purchase on your behalf to ensure that the transaction is concluded as you wish it to be. This also means that we act as your representative to check that all the legal side is properly carried out. We chase up the various parties including the Notaire and ensure that everything happens to a reasonable time scale. (Usually three months). We would also be responsible for all the necessary administrative tasks, so that when you take up ownership everything is ready to go i.e. insurance arranged, water and electricity supply accounts transferred to your name etc. We also translate all legal documents for you and explain every step of the purchase to you as we go along.

We can source and commission builders and architects on your behalf; help with planning consents including submission of all necessary documentation to the local planning authorities; progress chase and liaise with the local Mairie and planning department to ensure a successful outcome for your project.
We can also deal with one-off tasks such as liaising with utilities companies, builders & repair men etc.
If you have security concerns, enjoy peace of mind when you are away and ask us to carry out regular visits to the property. We normally visit the property on a fortnightly basis to check that it is secure and do a thorough check for leaks or other problems. We would expect to spend an average of half an hour in the property at each visit depending on the size of the house and charge travel time in addition. We also keep a general eye on the property between visits and are on hand to deal with any emergencies that may arise and to call in any tradesmen as necessary (with your agreement). We can also act as key holder and deal with any needs of visiting family and friends etc. as part of the same arrangement.

Do you want to arrive with the beds made up, the hot water on and shopping done? Your favourite bottle of Picpoul cooling in the fridge? No problem. We can do all of this for you.

ADMINISTRATIVE, TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION SERVICES
We can translate documents, provide on-site interpretation services and deal with one off administrative tasks: sorting out local taxes, setting up a bank account, installing a telephone, getting broad band services, sourcing and purchasing items for your home etc.
In short we are happy to provide help with any aspects of French administration.
Translation and administrative services are available by email, post or telephone. On-site assistance can also be provided within reasonable travelling distance (two hours) from base. (Haut Languedoc.)
